Vessel Core OÜ is an EU-based marine engine-room spare parts supplier registered in Tallinn, Estonia. A request does not need to be perfect before it is sent. If a part number is missing, the RFQ can still move forward from maker, model, serial number, nameplate photos, drawings, manual references, Excel lists or installed-equipment context.

Missing part number

Photos, nameplates and drawings can start the identification work.

Marine RFQs often begin with incomplete information: a damaged part, a nameplate photo, a manual page, an old invoice reference, a drawing position or a simple description from the vessel. Vessel Core can use these inputs to structure the request and identify the most practical supply route.

For time-critical breakdown or next-port-call requests, include the port, ETA, latest acceptable delivery time and any operational constraint. This helps align availability checks, packing needs, transport options and document preparation from the start.

What the RFQ desk actually cross-checks

An equipment or engine family name on its own settles nothing. A part is confirmed by a combination of data, not by one field.

  • Full maker name and equipment model
  • Serial number and build
  • A nameplate photograph with the data legible
  • Part number and drawing position
  • Part-book page, with its edition noted
  • Previous order reference or the designation used on earlier supplies
  • Photographs of the removed part, including its markings
  • Quantity and where the part sits on the vessel
  • The buyer's approval and documentation requirements
  • Class requirements, where the work is under survey
  • Whether the buyer needs a class certificate
  • Port of call and ETA

Where two of these disagree — a part number that does not match the part-book page, or a nameplate that does not match the order history — the discrepancy goes back to the buyer before a quotation is prepared. That is the step that keeps a wrong part from being supplied against a right-looking request.

Can you start without a part number?

Yes. Send maker, model, serial number, photos, nameplate, drawing, manual page, part description or Excel list. The more context included, the faster the identification work can proceed.

How are time-critical spare parts RFQs handled?

Time-critical requests are marked early so availability, lead time, commercial route, packing needs and port / ETA timing can be reviewed together.

Does Vessel Core only supply engine parts?

No. Vessel Core supplies engine-room equipment RFQs across engines, pumps, separators, compressors, sensors, valves, turbochargers, electrical components, filters, gaskets and seals.

What happens once the RFQ desk has the request?

The evidence is cross-checked against itself: maker, part designation, previous order reference, part-book page and nameplate photograph. Are class requirements taken into account?

State them in the RFQ. Where work is carried out under class survey, say so explicitly — class requirements are weighed when the supply route is assessed. Whether the accompanying documentation can be provided, and what it consists of, is confirmed only in the quotation.
