Scanjet Tank Cleaning Machine
Spare Parts Supplier

Scanjet Marine & Systems AB, registered in Sjöbo, Sweden, makes tank cleaning machines and has belonged to Alfa Laval since 2022. Nozzles, gears and seals for its machines are matched by machine type and serial before anything is quoted.

Machine type and serial first: A Scanjet part is matched to one machine. Photograph the type marking and every serial you can reach on that machine, say what the tanks carry, and send those before naming a part.

Scanjet machines named on this page

Scanjet Marine & Systems AB is registered in Sjöbo, Sweden, and designs and builds cleaning and monitoring systems for marine and industrial use. Alfa Laval acquired it in 2022. Two Scanjet machine types are named here. Nozzles, gears and seals for them are matched by machine type and serial, never by the family name alone.

Tank cleaning machine

SC 30T

A Scanjet tank cleaning machine type. Give the type exactly as marked and photograph every serial on the machine; a nozzle, gear or seal for an SC 30T is matched to those, together with the nozzle size if it is known. Without a serial the line stays open until one is found.

Tank cleaning machine

SC 90T2

A separate Scanjet type. Copy the full designation, digits and letters, because an SC 90T2 and an SC 30T are different machines and no nozzle, gear or seal passes from one to the other by assumption. Send the serials and the nozzle size if known.

Spare items

Nozzle housing · gear

Nozzle housings, often supplied with their gear and pin, and loose gears are the items that come up for these machines. Each is matched by machine type, serial and nozzle size. Seals go on the same request from the parts list for the type and are checked against the liquid the machine washes with.

Maker identity

Scanjet · Alfa Laval

Machines and their manuals carry the Scanjet name. Alfa Laval acquired the company in 2022, so newer paperwork may show either name. With the machine type, either is enough to start a request.

Other tank cleaning machines

Toftejorg

A machine plated Toftejorg or Gunclean Toftejorg belongs to another tank cleaning range. It is quoted from its own plate and parts list, and nothing on this page is applied to it.

Where enquiries start

What puts a Scanjet machine on a request

A tank cleaning machine works in the tank it washes, so problems tend to show at the deck or in the cleaning result.

Seals

Leaks at the deck or in the drive

Washing medium showing where it should not is a seal question first. Send photographs of where the leak appears, the machine type and the serials; the seal set is then matched to that machine and its medium.

Pattern

A pattern that stops or skips

If the nozzle no longer turns, or the washing pattern stops part-way, say so with the type and serials and describe what the machine does when it is started. That points the request towards the gear side or the nozzle side.

Nozzle

Worn or damaged nozzles

A nozzle that throws a broken or uneven jet is matched by machine type and nozzle size. If the size is not marked or cannot be read, a photograph of the nozzle together with the serials lets the reply confirm it.

Component coverage

Scanjet items that appear on RFQ lines

Each line names the machine type and serial it belongs to.

  • Nozzles, by machine type and nozzle size
  • Nozzle housings with their gear and pin
  • Gears and gear sets for the machine type
  • Seal sets and O-rings from the parts list, checked against the washing medium
  • Shafts named in the parts list for the machine type
  • Drive-side parts named in the parts list for the type
Evidence for the enquiry

What to send for a Scanjet machine

These details tie the request to one machine before anything is priced:

  • Machine type as marked, digits and letters included
  • Serial numbers from each part of the machine you can reach
  • Nozzle size if marked, and a photograph of the nozzle
  • Part number and position from the parts list, where the ship has it
  • What the tanks carry and whether the machine washes with water, crude oil (COW) or chemicals
  • Photographs of the leak, wear or damage that started the request
Supply route

How a Scanjet request is handled

Each line is reviewed as a genuine part or a checked alternative and confirmed before the quote; the reply says which it is.

Matched by machine and serial

Nozzles, gears and seals for a Scanjet machine are matched by machine type and serial. A line that cannot be tied to a serial is held open and the reply says what is missing, rather than guessing from the family name.

Seals and the washing medium

Seal material is checked against what the machine washes with and what the tanks carry. Crude oil washing (COW), chemicals and plain water are different duties, so the medium is part of the request from the start.

One machine per line

Where a ship carries machines of more than one type, each goes on its own line with its own serials, and parts are never pooled across types. For a loose O-ring, the O-ring size finder helps confirm the size first.

Scanjet tank cleaning parts — questions officers ask

Is a Scanjet machine now quoted under Alfa Laval?

Scanjet has belonged to Alfa Laval since 2022. The request still starts from the machine type and serials on the machine, whichever name the paperwork carries.

Can a nozzle from an SC 30T go on an SC 90T2?

That is never assumed. Send both machine types and serials if both are on board, and the reply confirms what fits each machine before anything is priced.

The serial marking cannot be read. What then?

Send photographs of the machine, any type marking, the nozzle and the parts list or manual reference the ship holds. The reply says whether that is enough to match the part, or what else is needed.

The machine also runs crude oil washing. Does that change the seals?

Say so on the request, together with what the tanks carry. The seal set is matched to the machine type and serial and checked against that medium before it is quoted.

Our machine is plated Toftejorg. Is this the right page?

No. A Toftejorg machine is quoted from its own plate and parts list; send those as a separate request and nothing from this page is applied to it.

Is Vessel Core connected to Scanjet?

No, and there is no agreement of any kind. Vessel Core holds no distribution, representation or partnership agreement with Scanjet, and quoting a component against one of its designations implies no approval by the maker and no claim of interchangeability.

Scanjet and the SC 30T and SC 90T2 designations are named here because these machines are ordered against the type and serials marked on them. Vessel Core holds no distribution, representation or partnership agreement with this or any other manufacturer named on this page, and does not present itself as holding one. Scanjet, Alfa Laval and Toftejorg are the names and trademarks of their owners. The designations on this page appear so that a buyer can match equipment already installed; quoting a component against any of them implies no approval by the maker, and no compatibility or commercial relationship of any kind.

Start with the type and the serials

Send the machine type, the serials, the nozzle size if known and what the tanks carry. If only part of that is at hand, send what you have.
